A few days ago, we had the honour to talk with him.

Pavlo: Αγαπώ τη γη και τους ανθρώπους της Καστοριάς

George Baliotis: What's your relationship with Greece? Do you come often to your hometown, Kastoria and to Greece in general? Your concert in Kastoria is free. Is this city so important for you?
Pavlo: My mother and father were born in Kastoria, Greece and I come visit every summer to see my cousins. I have great memories of my visits to Kastoria and love the land and people. My show is free to everyone and simply an invitation to all to bring their families and have a good time.

GB: You give so many shows every year in U.S.A. and Canada and all over the world. Do you want to share a special moment with us?
P: A special moment is when I performed for the first time in South Korea, where 100% of the audience were Koreans.  They were enjoying the sounds of the Bouzouki, Baglama and of course my guitar.  I felt so proud as a Greek to spread our beautiful musical culture.

GB: How close is the Greek traditional music related with latin and jazz?
P: Well my music of course is a fusion of flamenco, latin, greek, balkan, jazz, etc.  Although at times these different genres could sound quite different, I believe my guitar style and my composition style helps to fuse all these influences into one cohesive Pavlo sound.

GB: What's your opinion for the Greek modern music? Any favourite artist?
P: I love any song that moves me - modern, or old.  Currently, my favorite Greek singers are Mario Frangoulis and Giannis Ploutarchos.

GB: You are a famous guitarist and musician all over the world. What would you say to Greek young boy/girl, who is dreaming of sharing his music to other countries than Greece?
P: My advice would be to follow your heart and play the music that you love.  You will always find an audience when you play music that is true and genuine to you.   Then, you have to get into a car, and play in every cafe, festival, etc. that will allow you to share your music with the public.  There is no substitute for hard work. You must go out and perform for people.

GB: How was the recent cooperation with Loreena McKennitt? What's the feeling when you play in Irodio?
P: It was a magical night that you can only experience in a place like the Irodio.  Loreena Mckennitt is a wonderful musician and it really was an honor to share the stage with her.

GB: What's the next step in your discography after the Live albums in 2016 and 17? Are you working on a new album?
P: I am working on a new TV concert special to be filmed on the island of Santorini in 2020.....stay tuned!

GB: What are we going to hear and see in Kastoria at 27/07?
P: I will be playing music from my 20 year career.  (13 CDs) I am flying my entire band to Kastoria, and I will have many special guests including a few surprises.
